Microneedling

A minimally invasive procedure that gently moves microscopic needles over the face, causing miniscule puncture marks in order to activate the production of elastin and collagen.

Commonly used to help reduce the appearance of acne scars and stretch marks.

How Does It Work?

As we get older, our skin becomes drier, more wrinkled and less elastic and supple.

Microneedling works by encouraging the skin to make more hyaluronic acid, elastin and collagen.

The tiny pinpricks from the procedure causes the skin to become slightly injured, allowing the skin to respond by sending inflammatory responses to the treatment area, and increasing the production of hyaluronic acid, elastin and collagen.

How Long Does It Last?

Production of new collagen will continue for about 6 months. To keep your skin looking and feeling refreshed, you should plan on scheduling appointments every 4 - 6 months.

Are There Any Side Effects?

Minor skin irritation can occur immediately after treatment.

You may also notice redness around the treated area for a few hours.

Information will be provided about aftercare and advice on how to contact the clinic for any queries afterwards.
